I belong, I learn. #SHSPride
SHS’ Vision and Mission
Students will attain their personal best in an English environment:
Students’ responsibilities – P³: Participation, Perseverance and Patience
Staff and parents’ responsibilities – C³: Caring, Cooperation and Collaboration
Be advised:
Cycle 3 Year 2 compulsory evaluations prescribed by CQSB and MEES, are worth 10% of the final mark. All final exams will follow the schedule dictated by the MEES and begin in April 2022. All students are expected to attend school every day during the exam period in order to be able to demonstrate their understanding and competencies. Absence from exams without proper justification will result in a mark of “0” for the exam missed. A justified absence may be authorized for the following reasons:
• Serious illness or accident confirmed by a medical report or certificate;
• Death of a close relative
English Language Arts Exam Dates: May 8th-26th, 2023
February 3rd-14th: Secondary 5 Valentine’s Day Card Sale.
50¢ for a card and a chocolate heart. From Feb. 3rd to Feb. 14th, Sec 5 students will sell cards in the main lobby at lunch (for secondary students only) as well as visit elementary classes each day. Students can choose cards from one of our four models and fill them out. Just bring 50 cents for every card you wish to buy. Sec. 5 students will pick up the cards when they visit classes. Cards (and chocolate!) will be delivered on Feb. 14th. A great way to show someone special how much they mean to you, or to tell your friends that you think they’re awesome! Thank you for supporting Secondary 5!
